Stroud Christian Fellowship has two elders (Martin and Phil) who, together with the wider leadership team, oversee the various pastoral, practical and missional aspects of the church.
Martin & Sue Pearson
Martin and Sue have led the fellowship since mid 1999. Having met at Bible College in Vancouver, Canada, they have been involved at all levels of church leadership since then. Martin is a trustee of SCF and also Salt & Light Ministries Europe.
Sue is one of SCF's worship leaders..
They have two married adult sons and three grandaughters
Phil & Rachel Coysh
Phil and Rachel have four children. Together they are passionate about justice for the poor, both in the UK and overseas.
Phil is Operations Manager for the Trussell Trust which oversees the largest network of food bank centres in the UK. He also leads Ignition, a local Christian event charity which organises, amongst other events, the annual Stroud Family Fun Day. He is committed to seeing churches working together in evangelism and social action and is actively involved in Churches Together in Stroud and the Salt & Light Regional team.'
Rachel is responsible for Tiddlywinks and Tiddlywinks Too, both SCF initiatives for families in the Stroud area, and has her own baking business.
Harvey & Denise Fry
Harvey and Denise are a local couple with a passion for the Stroud area. They are both long time members of SCF and have, and continue to, serve the church in many different capacities.
Harvey works in Information Technology as a Solutions Architect and is currently part of the worship team.
Denise primarily works as a Mum and Homemaker but is also the Church Treasurer and is on the children’s work team. She has a passion to see prayer as an everyday part of our lives. They have a son and three daughters.
Graham has been part of Stroud Christian Fellowship for over 15 years, he was formerly a Warrant Officer in the army which gave him a real heart for the relational issues affecting the lives of men and their families; He now runs his own business within the IT industry.
He has been married to Fiona for 14 years and they have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.
Merethe Dahl Turner
Merethe (pronounced Maretta) is our Community Pastor focused specifically on our work in the Paganhill area of Stroud.
Her role is to engage with people of all backgrounds in that community, enabling them to connect with God in new and innovative ways
Merethe is from Norway and first came over to England to do a 6 months Bible school gap year, but never really left. She graduated with a Bachelor in Theology and Mission with a specialisation in youthministry in 2015, Along the way she also picked up an English husband, Nick.
